Lori Betz

Lori Betz’s current body of bronze work includes a wide range of figurative sculptures. From ‘demi-god’ inspired male figures with an almost uncanny level of musculature (“Atlas”) to graceful female figures, mostly engaged in dance, who have dainty, elegant and often ethereal anatomical features. All of Lori’s sculptures are especially striking, and because of the contrasting, and stylistically modern body of paintings in the Glade Arts Foundation’s Inaugural Resident Artist Exhibition, her mostly classically inspired sculpture offers an interesting, yet complimentary pairing in differing artistic perspectives.
